Aleysha Casey

Mental Health Social Worker

Aleysha Casey is a Social Worker and member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) who is currently working towards Mental Health Accreditation (AMHSW). She has extensive experience across child safety, mental health and hospital settings, providing support and counselling to children, young people, families and individuals experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, grief and loss, low self-esteem, school refusal, stress, substance use and trauma. Aleysha is informed by evidence-based practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), along with recovery-oriented, strengths-based and trauma informed approaches. She is committed to ongoing professional development, continuously refining her skills to provide effective interventions to clients.

Since September 2025, Aleysha has volunteered for The Held Project, a perinatal mental health peer support organisation, drawing on her own lived experience with post-partum anxiety and depression. This has fostered a special interest in supporting mothers during the post-partum period.

At the end of 2025, Aleysha was also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 1) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (Predominantly Inattentive Presentation). Her lived experience with neurodiversity has inspired a passion for working with clients who are, or suspect they may be, neurodiverse. From her time working in child safety, Aleysha has also found working with children incredibly fulfilling and believes early intervention is key in making a positive difference to a child’s development and wellbeing.

In her free time, you can find her spending quality time with family and friends and delving into her special interest of family history. Aleysha looks forward to welcoming and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, providing client-centred care that empowers individuals to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
